definitely
adv бесспорно, определенно, непременно (1). Наречие definitely относится к группе усилительных наречий certainly, surely, definitely, naturally и стоит обычно перед определяемым словом. (2). Definitely усиливает высказанное утверждение:

The paintings were definitely not for sale — Картины определенно/без сомнения/конечно же не продавались (были не для продажи).

The call definitely came from your phone — Телефонный вызов был сделан, бесспорно, с вашего телефона.

(3). Для выражения уверенности в том, что было сказано, чаще используется certainly:

She was certainly the best student — Она, конечно же, была лучшей студенткой.

Для выражения уверенности в том, что событие произойдет, употребляется certainly и definitely, но не surely:

The conference will certainly/definitely be postponed — Конференция наверняка будет отложена.

Naturally подчеркивает соответствие описываемого события ожиданиям:

The child was crying, so naturally Mother was upset — Ребенок плакал и мама, естественно, была расстроена.

Surely выражает надежду или точку зрения, допускающую некоторое сомнение, возможность ошибки:

We've surely met somewhere — Мы, я уверен, где-то встречались.
